The clothing line combines two of the founder’s primary passions: appealing, wearable fashion and Jamaica’s world-famous vernacular. Patwa Apparel began as a part-time home-based business. The concept was a very simple one, mixing the fashion with the Jamaican expressions and adding interpretations in (standard) English.
Patwa Apparel is pleased to be recognized as a ‘BOLD ONE’. National Baking Company’s “The Bold Ones – New Champions of Manufacturing” is a major support programme for new Jamaican entrepreneurs. Patwa Apparel was selected after a stringent recruitment process. This is because we have demonstrated courage, industry, and enough faith in Jamaica to invest our resource in the manufacturing process. The “Bold Ones” project is the brainchild of Continental Baking Company Chairman Butch Hendrickson.
